Flora and Fauna

It's time for the next challenge over at The Fashionable Stamping Challenge and this time the lovely Esther has chosen Flora and Fauna.

This is a scheduled post as we've taken the opportunity to get away for the week end while the lovely weather is still with us in the UK. You never know how long it's going to last !

I started with a piece of cardboard and ripped the paper off the top in different areas. Then I gave it a coat of Snowflake Fresco Finish, followed by a coat of Moonlight FF. When I saw the title of this challenge my mind went immediately to the lovely Lin Brown's stamps.

I've stamped using Pansy and Limelight FF then added some text using the PaperArtsy Mini 44 stamp. I then mixed some Mowed Lawn reinker with some Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste and applied it through the Roman Letters stencil. The flower has been stamped using Fresco Finish paints onto black card as have the leaves and words.

I cut a separate piece of cardboard for the bottom section and used the same FF's and stamps. The butterflies are also a Lin Brown stamp and I've used shrink plastic (making sure I punched my holes first!) then attached them using Jump Rings.

I hope you get chance to join us for this challenge and do make sure to hop over to the main blog and check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work.

Hopefully I am sitting somewhere in the sun or may be even having a paddle !
